3. Workshop - Change Within: Evaluating the Muslim in the Mirror
Topic: We all want to change the world, but when we reflect on the impeccable words of the Qur'an, we know that changing the world starts from within. Surah Ar-Ra'ad captures The essence of this teaching in ayah 11, saying, "Allah does not change the condition of a people unless they change what is in their hearts." It is up to us, as Muslims, to reflect on our inner beings and work to improve our condition for the sake of Allah alone. Before we are able to change society and the world at large, our own hearts must be sound. Come to this session ready to embody the enduring words of Mahatma Gandhi: "Be the change you want to see in the world.
